Rajinikanth is the highest paid actor in Asia after Jackie Chan. In recent times, he received great appreciation for his role in Sivaji - The Boss, which was one of the highest grossing films of 2007. As of this date, Rajinikanth has won six Tamli Nadu State Film awards – four Best Actor and two special awards for Best Actor, and a Filmfare Award for Best Actor.
Tamil superstar Rajinikanth turned 64 today and made the occasion a memorable one by dishing out his latest flick Lingaa to frenzied fans who turned up to witness their matinee idol deliver famous punchlines after his last release Kochadaiyaan. It was Lingaa all the way as the hit combination of Rajinikanth-K S Ravikumar joined once again in what is expected to be a treat for the star’s avid fans. The actor is back to singing duets with damsels, this time with Anuskha Shetty and Sonakshi Sinha.
